Your generous donation enables a host of passionate, often marginalized young people to visit the mountain for the first time. Moments like these are transformational. Grade-schoolers through college students learn about the volcano’s history and its impact on our regional landscape. They work side-by-side with career scientists, who help our outdoor school students develop critical thinking skills and encourage them to problem-solve real-world STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) challenges. And once these young people go back home, they’re often inspired to pursue a career in science or a related field
